Product description
How to use a group head brush
With a group head brush, you wipe your group head (and the rubber ring around it) clean after every espresso shot.
This is important because oils and coffee residues always remain on the group head after each extraction.
In addition to brushing the group head, we also recommend unscrewing the metal plate once a week and washing all the parts.
You can do this by loosening the small screw in the center of the plate. That way, you can easily remove any coffee grounds that may have built up there.
How to replace the brush head
Replacing the brush head on your group head brush is super easy. Just unscrew the old one and screw on a new one.
You don’t need to do this every week, but don’t let it get too dirty either.
Because of the heat from your group head, the bristles may start to bend over time. If your group head brush starts to curl, it’s time for a new one.
Keeping your espresso machine clean with a group head brush
Cleaning your group head is an essential part of proper maintenance. It ensures your espresso tastes pure, without interference from old coffee residues or limescale.
Your regular maintenance routine should also include: weekly backflushing with a blind filter and quarterly cleaning with espresso machine detergent.
